We are going back to the best of the best and replaying our end times series. So you will see the first few minutes of our podcast here on the Youtube video, but if you want to hear the rest of the series on the end times, you gotta listen to the podcast.
Since the election a lot has happened moving forward to the end times…
The pandemic is of the enemy… simply because it is disease, it kills, steals and destroys… but it is also of the enemy because it is preparing the way for the anti christ.
It is a softening if you will to lowering our faith level and our raising our vulnerability to follow anyone or anything… Christian or non Christian it is happening… In what ways?
Did you know that
The majority of the worlds currency today is non cash currency. The worlds debt is 300 trillion and the USA debt is 29 Trillion and we are looking at spending an additional 3-5 trillion.
So with the pandemic people did not want to handle cash anymore because of the germs it spread…
These small steps are like the perfect storm for the foundation of the anti christ to come in.
We will have a one world currency, we will have a one world government, we will have a one world leader… but it just takes a little time in the pot to finally boil and die.
You can pray against it, you can come against it in the name of Jesus… its already in place, its happening and you can’t stop it. So be ready.
Energy and financial crisis in China that is ramping up and they could easily be maneuvered into an alliance for a world war. China is not impressed by our president and even emboldened by our presidents lack of courage in Afghanistan. You can see the end times all over this. REVELATION 16 Most believe speaks of the nations of the east as China… we owe china trillions….
The cost of living is skyrocketing…
Remember in the end times a loaf of bread will cost you a full days wage… You do know the dollar store is now the 2 dollar store right?

The lion of the tribe of Judah
The phrase appears in the New Testament in Revelation 5:5: "Then one of the elders said to me, 'Do not weep. See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals. '" This is widely regarded as a reference to the Second Coming among Christians.
Judah was the fourth son born to Leah, who was one of Jacob's wives. Unfortunately, Leah was not the love of Jacob's life; Rachel was. Because Rachel was unable to have children, Leah thought that bearing children for Jacob would make him love her, but it did not. The first three sons were Rueben, Simeon, Levi, and then came Judah.
She conceived again, and when she gave birth to a son, she said, "This time I will praise the Lord." So she named him Judah. Then she stopped having children. – Genesis 29:35
The name Judah is awfully close to the Hebrew word for praise which is Yadah. When you offer Yadah, you are praising God with extended or raised hands.
If you remember the life of Joseph, his brothers hated him and wanted to kill him, but Judah convinced them not to do that. You could say he interceded for his brother's life.
"Judah said to his brothers, 'What will we gain if we kill our brother and cover up his blood? Come, let's sell him to the Ishmaelites and not lay our hands on him; after all, he is our brother, our own flesh and blood.' His brothers agreed." – Genesis 37:26-27
Judah was a born leader…
A Prayer warrior
A sinner…
A horrible father…
A horrible father in law (had sex with his daughter in law)
His legacy was one that kept the tribe of Judah loyal to King David
The tribe of Judah was the one that God said will go up and fight the canonizes to give the people the promise land
Ultimately Judah was the one who’s lineage produced Jesus.
We see all this and understand the his legacy was a mix of the best of humanity, and a mix of the worst of humanity but ultimately was God man for the world.
Ultimately we see in Revelation
Revelation 5:5: "Then one of the elders said to me, 'Do not weep. See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals. ‘"
From this passage through out the history of the Jews the lion of the tribe of Judah came to represent the Blessing, the Majesty and the divine protection of Gods people.
why is this important? Because we are speaking of the end times in this scripture and this reveals our role as followers of Christ in the end times. We in the heat of demonic activity and human depravity will stand out as those who are Blessed, Revel in Gods majesty and his divine protection.

Urban Meyer… not trying to use clickbait here or am I going to hate on the man… but well, once again like I always say he has become “that guy”. Don’t be that guy… can I make it any more simple???? JUST DON’T BE THAT GUY.
Urban Meyer quite possibly coaching the worst team in the NFL. He gave up a cushy job at FOX sports, took on a poor team that with his help is now worse. He stays behind and does not fly back with the team so that he can end up at a bar with his hands between a young woman legs as she bumps and grinds on him. The whole time not realizing he is on video… you do know it is 2021 right? Everyone is their own newsfeed with a phone in their hand.
What does it scream to me? A lack of understanding about how a man leads himself, his family and his business.
Urban seems to be morally bankrupt. Maybe he has not learned how to handle the pressure of being an NFL coach… I have seen many senior pastors fall into this trap. What is more disturbing is that Urban Meyer has been highlighted in numerous books on leadership and has even written his own NY times best seller… the problem??? He does not know he to lead himself.
Here are 7 undeniable points on self leadership that Urban and you and I need to take a hold of.
- 1 Integrity. You can have all the talent in the world, all the brains all the money all the connections… You can have it all - but without integrity you will end up being “that guy”. The guy who blew all that raw God given talent and opportunity. That guy caught on video…
Don’t be that guy.
- 2 Spirituality
This is the gas tank for your life. Without a continual filling of Gods word and the Holy Spirit you will run on your own strength… thats bad. BTW you will never operate in total fullness in any of these areas if you don’t fill the tank.
Self Leadership knows that one must continually fill the tank with Jesus and his word - because ultimately God must be the leader inside of us.
- 3 Faith. The outlook that what is most important is what I believe, but cannot see. You can call it a positive outlook, being an optimist -whatever you term you want to use. But faith is the hardest daily fight in any Christ follower. We believe the best… but… well… maybe… it is easy to slip back into a mindset of doubt, negativity and feeling forgotten.
Leaders live in the realm of faith… yes it takes practice and hard work and time with God, but it is not only possible it is required by God.
Does a man of faith find himself in a bar getting a lap dance? Sure if his faith fatigued and dried out.
- 4 Enthusiasm or some might say passion. I remember reading years ago an article that said most people are not successful in life- not because they are not smart enough, not because they have not had the breaks, not because they didn’t have the right family… but simply because they never lived, operated or worked out of a place of passion.
I don’t care if you like bottle caps, if you are passionate about it I will bet you will be successful in collecting bottle caps.
What are you absolutely crazy about? Are you operating in that area in any way?
Urban looks as if he has lost his passion so is it any wonder that he is trying to fill up on cheap substitutes.
- 5 Endurance
Do you know how to go the long haul. Its not just about grit your teeth and push through, but making sure you have enough emotional and spiritual energy to push through. Its interesting to me that Jesus seemed to have 4 major themes in his life, getting away, teaching, ministering, time with the disciples. You might thing that the most important time would be his time away with God… and while I agree, I think it is a tie. Between your spiritual gauge and your emotional gauge. Do you know how to fill your emotional gauge. A survey taken by pastors who had fallen into sin were asked how their spiritual lives were at the time and they all said “actually pretty good - but they were lacking the emotional energy to make healthy choices. i.e. they did not know how to fill up their emotional gas tank.
Do you know how?
I know for myself. I play my guitar weekly, I work out, I read good books, I talk to my family and close friend -specifically to laugh, I hang with my wife for friendship. I don’t do all of these for hours… some just simply minutes. but they fill my tank so that I can endure.
- 6 Consistency
Find what works, find what you are good at, find your gifting and your sweet spot and then stay consistent in those. I love asking myself this question: What would the best version of Garth do? What would his life look like in habits and routines? And then do that consistently.
- 7 Non stop learning
So if you are not learning you are not growing and if you are not growing you are dying. I believe that.
but here are my no guilt rules for learning.
If you read, read. but if you don’t like to read fine then listen to podcasts or watch a good youtube channel. But make sure it is educational in some fashion. If you do like to read and you pick up a book that bores you- toss it and get another book. don’t waste time on a book just because you spent 29.99 on it. Your time is more valuable than that.
What ever you learn and in whatever fashion - make sure you always have access to it by taking notes and filing your education process.
Learn only in your strengths and interests. Don’t waste time trying to learn how to be a better manager if you are a leader. Don’t waste time trying to learn about how to be better organized if you are a creative. Accelerate your learning by keeping it in your sweet spot.
look Urban Meyer is now 5 and 0 as the Jaguars coach. he is the laughing stock of many of his peers, his players have admitted to now having a hard time respecting him.
Don’t be that guy. Learn to lead yourself.

In 1812 Master Commandant Oliver Perry wrote to Major General William Henry Harrison, “We have met the enemy and they are ours.” It has since been parodied as We have met the enemy and the enemy is us”. But truth be told this summarized the truth… we have the ability and we do in fact have the tendency to create our own problems. Worse yet, when we step back we only truly have ourselves to blame.
The #1 enemy in our lives is actually in our minds. It is the screaming of negativity that comes against who God says we are.
They say we can speak 300 words a minute on average… I guess women can speak 300 words with gusts up to 3000 words per minute…ok, I am joking. But the truth is, our mind can speak 3000 words a minute to our soul and emotions and body.
Bring every thought into captivity - how many thoughts? EVERY thought into CAPTIVITY. Hold it accountable… Hold it accountable to Gods word.
What voices are screaming in our minds?
-Voices of blinding insecurity. You are not good enough, holy enough, you aren’t a pastor, spiritually minded enough,
You are to skinny, fat, old, young, dumb, smart, busy…
What combats that? Fill up on Gods word and then pray. Prayer is what ignites Gods word to come alive in our hearts and minds.
When we lack prayer, we lack security and when we lack security, we seek it outside of Christ.
The problem is then we listen to any voice.
- Voices of doubt. Self or spiritual doubt. You doubt healing, guidance, speaking in tongues,
It is strange we live in a world where we will believe the weatherman more than we will believe God. We almost never doubt the weatherman… but he will fail us regularly.
- Voices of guilt and accusation
These typically come from the past.
One of my favorite books love healing and miracles has a story that connects with a lot of people. A mother calls her daughter who is married with 2 young kids… the relationship has been strained from birth due to the Mothers issues…. (tell story)
Sometimes we allow the voices from the past to be more powerful that Gods voice about our future.
- Voices of defacement… You just don’t see who God created you to be.
I was training a young man who was a sophomore in high school. He was already playing varsity football as a running back and killing it. he was a nice, mellow kid. Our first day at the gym we are working on presses when we hear a bunch of the meatheads yelling at a guy who was getting ready to squat 500 pounds. We stopped for a second and watched him do it. Now at my gym that was nothing out of the ordinary and we had guys squatting well into the 900’s. But for this guy it was a lot. Now when he was done I looked back at my 15 year old client and said… breaks over lets go. He looked at me and said “is that a lot of weight?”. I said yep it is a decent squat… why? He said oh, well I can do that about 10 times. I didn’t know this kid yet… but shrugged it off… until 2 days later when we were training legs. Not only could he do it, but he could do it as we say “ass to calves”. he just didn’t realize how strong he was… He had always been told he was not good enough.
Here is a simple, profound and yet unused life changing principle…
A mind that is continually fed scripture will always operate and function at a higher degree of success and holiness than one that is not.

Psalm 1:Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,

and who meditates on his law day and night.

That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.
We expect to little… we preach to expect problems more than breakthroughs or victory…
What does this verse say? If we feast and meditate on the word we should expect to be blessed and prosper.
There are people who will for some reason fight against the idea that God wants you to always prosper and be blessed… it does not mean you won’t have hard times or that life can treat you wrong etc… I know I have had my fair share of problems… but does that mean we still can’t expect blessing from them? I know some of my greatest blessings have come out of some of my greatest problems and pain.
Joe namath… when you win nothing hurts, when you lose everything hurts.
I truly believe that those who have a hard time believing that God always wants us to win or be blessed or have victory are the ones who have lost so many times, they have given up the fight and have become Christians who are just coasting along accepting whatever life might bring. A Christian fatalist if you will… but remember we are in a fight… a fight to WIN… not tie~
Everyone wants victory, every one wants to win… why? Do you think it is because we as humans are selfish? Or do you believe it is because it is given to us in our DNA by God? How you lean regarding this question in your answer says a lot about how you look at life.
Too few people continually win, have victory - very few people live a life that prospers in whatever they do… and even less believe that for themselves.
But it still doesn’t answer the question of this verse… are we supposed to continually be blessed in all we do? Scripture says yes…
to those who continue to abide in Christ….
You see it all comes back to where your roots are planted. John 15 says be planted into the vine and grow fruit… fruit is a biblical symbol of blessing…
So if you have a problem with that, you might want to take it up with Jesus.

Do you have enough KNOW to just not worry about believing or having enough faith?
LUke 8:45 “Who touched me?” Jesus asked. What do I mean?
In these stories, we see a woman who thought she knew that if she touched Jesus garment it would be enough to heal her. Listen… Jesus didn’t set aside faith for this woman. He didn’t parcel a piece of faith incase someone touched him. HE DIDN’T EVEN KN0W WHO TOUCHED HIM… I have to believe in Christ humanity here that he really didn’t know who touched him… so he asks.
But what does that mean… it means this woman simply pulled that healing out of Jesus. She just simply thought in her head if I have enough faith to touch his garment I will be healed. You realize after this happened Mark notes that many people after that pushed in to touch Jesus believing to be healed.
Jesus did not grant this healing… she took it through her faith. She just knew.
The man casting out demons… he was not a disciple. When the disciples went out and cast demons it said that Christ gave them the power to do so. This man did not attempt to cast out demons… it says he WAS CASTING OUT DEMONS. Where did he get his power, his anointing his call, his discipleship papers….
He had none… he simply knew he could do it in the name of Jesus.
I think maybe today we put to much emphasis on trying to conjure up enough faith… and maybe we just need to believe or know - even without great emotion… and just act~

I see people fail in the same way in the same arena constantly because they are not willing to change things in their life. Their strategy, their goals, their plan, their network etc…. all stay the same and they keep feeling.
- A life that is full, successful and blessed has less to do with luck, intelligence and options - and more to do with laser focus.
- Focus on Gods way, word and witness.
Don’t try to be successful or blessed by doing things your own way.
Dr. J Vernon McGee has a great quote. This is Gods universe. He does what he wants. You may disagree and do whatever you want… but you don’t have a universe.
The Key here is remember its his universe and he has certain laws that we must abide by in order to walk in his anointing, blessing, success whatever word you want to use.

Fire takes 2 elements…
Air and energy (fuel)
Lev. 10:1-7
10 Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before the Lord, contrary to his command. 2 So fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord. 3 Moses then said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord spoke of when he said:
“‘Among those who approach me
I will be proved holy;
in the sight of all the people
I will be honored.’”
Aaron remained silent.
4 Moses summoned Mishael and Elzaphan, sons of Aaron’s uncle Uzziel, and said to them, “Come here; carry your cousins outside the camp, away from the front of the sanctuary.” 5 So they came and carried them, still in their tunics, outside the camp, as Moses ordered.
6 Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar, “Do not let your hair become unkempt[a] and do not tear your clothes, or you will die and the Lord will be angry with the whole community. But your relatives, all the Israelites, may mourn for those the Lord has destroyed by fire. 7 Do not leave the entrance to the tent of meeting or you will die, because the Lord’s anointing oil is on you.” So they did as Moses said.
Nadab and Abihu were a part of the 70 who were up on Mt. Sinai who experience the theophany.. the presence of God. Moses is their uncle… they have a history of being around the presence of God and around those who walk with God.
They bring a foreign fire to God.
They are trying to represent a God and create his presence when they do not know him nor obey him.
They tried to come to God and worship him on their own terms not on Gods.
God has requirements to enter into his presence… a clean and pure heart… a repentant spirit.
Eph. 3:12 12 In Him and through faith in Him we may enter God’s presence with boldness and confidence.
The key to entering Gods presence is understanding it is through his work on the cross and in faith.
Lets simplify this: you enter his presence by nothing you can do… but in a choice/trust a faith in him and his work on the cross.
I like to think of it this way - a fire needs 2 things. It needs air and it needs fuel. Air is a necessity of life, God gives life. And fuel is faith… we provide the faith, the choice to be in his presence - that actually means we take action to come to him and seek his presence.
So we need God and his work on the cross… it is our air OR our life. And we put in the action (remember Faith without works/action is dead)
This is great news! You get to come into Gods presence not by what you do, but simply by taking action on what God did through his son on the cross.
