Devil diablo…. Rapture…. A form of travel… not an event. Devil is not a person or name but actually a name for the process or strategy he uses or job description.

Lies, slander, accusations, memories… hit and hit and hit… pummel - to separate us from God, his word, his spirit, his plans.
If you believe satans lies - he will send an audience to applaud his accusations in the middle of the distress he created. They will reinforce satans voice… and then his most diabolical move is made…. He fills void.
- You will never have a good marriage… friends family and foes back that up…. You believe it and then satan sends Mr. Right, Mrs. Right
- You are different, you are odd, you are lonely, no one wants to be your friend, you are gay… voices back it up you believe it AND THEN SATAN BRINGS IN A MAN TO GROOM YOU INTO HOMOSEXUALITY.
- You are not a woman until you experience sex, friends, enemies, music, media, images, stories… PUMMEL HER PSYCHE, HEART, SOUL EMOTIONS, HER SELF ESTEEM….pummel a young girl into sacrificing her virginity Once a young person gives away their virginity, its easier and easier to give it to anybody.
- you will never have enough money.
Men you better have your head in Gods word daily for a good length of time…
You better teach your kids this tactic by the enemy and give them the biblical tools to stand against his attacks.

You can learn a scale… and only use it as a scale - you have to think about it. But once it's in you, and in your spirit, so to speak, you just play it freely..

7 Husbands, in the same way, treat (live with) your wives with consideration (wisdom) as a delicate (weaker) vessel, and with honor (one with value) as fellow heirs of the gracious gift of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.
Hindered = road block, sharply cuts off the desired result… making the activity tedious.
Prayer gets tedious when you're not getting results. And maybe you've checked your whole life and everything seems good but you have forgot to check. How well you honor your wife.

Yesterdays podcast, I started out by saying in order for this to work, you must be a man of God. And today is much the same, and that you need to understand your wife with wisdom, but not to manipulate her, but in fact, to show wisdom, to make her more like Christ.
Weaker - frail and unimpressive physically and morally…helpless.
Look, let's be honest as men there are times where our wives can get on our nerves simply because they seem helpless. We tell them what to do. We tell them how to solve the problem we tell them steps they can take and they just don't seem to follow through. And that's when we need wisdom and we need to treat them with love, regardless because they are weaker.

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
V. 33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
Respect - to obey, to desire, to win the favor of a God.
Does your husband feel desirable or desired by you?
When scripture calls the woman the weaker sex… one of the keys in understanding that verse is what it implies regarding the man…. And that is that he is stronger and will go through more trials, Temptations struggles and warfare in his relationship with God and with you and in life, then YOU the wife ever will.
- The man must be in right standing with God
No, the man can't be a bully and demand or Command but when he is a God-fearing loving husband, and he simply asks or expects out of your love for him to do the right thing -and you don't -it’s actually harder. * look if I demand my wife to do something and she doesn't well I guess - I get it because I'm being a Butthead. But when I'm truly a God-fearing loving man and she doesn't want to respect or serve or desire, then it's like slow poison to my system.
- The happiest wives and the most fulfilling marriages have wives that respect, submit and desire. Why? Because they have learned Gods ways are best…. Which means…
- Feelings are negated, they have learned to not let feelings dictate their life.
- Vows are taken in awe and fear before God. Wives ultimately will be held accountable by God to give an account of how well they served there husband…. By your actions did you make it easy for your husband to keep from temptation, to keep from being angry or bitter, to keep a soft heart towards you. Yes, he should always strive for this, but you are still part of the responsibility of making it easier for him. And you'll have to answer to God.

- The term warfare is used only 5 times in the NT and never in the context of the devil.
2 Cor. 10:3-5 Mental bondage
Tim. 1:18 a prophetic word to war the good war
2 Tim. 2:4 no man wars with the worlds affairs, details
James 4:1 war against the flesh
1 Peter 2:11 war against the flesh
The difference is stratos (warfare) and pal-ay wrestle.
We have already won the war… but we will wrestle
- pal-ay
Wrestle as if its life or death.
But the difference again is we wrestle and we war over over thoughts, mindsets and voices.
If we don’t wrestle as if it's life and death. Then we open up doors to Satan, where he can get a foothold and intern, allow demonic spirits to attach themselves to our behavior.
Eph. 4:27 and do not give the devil a foothold.
Foothold GK - opportunity, power, occasion for acting
DO NOT GIVE HIM A SEAT AT THE TABLE - HE WILL TAKE CONTROL.
Give him an inch and he will take a mile…

***20 years ago in youth ministry we were trying to stop kids from cutting themselves, and now we are encouraging kids to cut things off!
WHY? We gave him a seat at the table!
The battle always starts in the mind.

Why you can love your spouse even when you hate your spouse… in fact you could actually rejoice when you are in moments and seasons, where you can't stand your spouse. Ultimately, it's the best thing for you if you understand what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.
Your relationships (specifically marriage) is by far the very best venue in which to become more like Jesus. PERIOD! When you give up, check out, tune out, walk out, blame your spouse or God… you are just simply saying “hey this be like Jesus thing is not for me”. You may not see it that way,
(Insert excuses here… they changed, they hurt me, they're not who I thought they were, I thought I was marrying someone else, they've fallen in love with someone else, there was an fair, I just don't feel the same way about them anymore. We’ve grown apart.
but it is absolutely the very thing that is best prescribed for you to be more like Jesus. You can ignore this at your own peril… or you can embrace it and get excited about how much this is going to twin you with Jesus.
My wife gave me a Valentine's Day card yesterday with a two page letter in it praising me for what an amazing husband I am. I'm not saying this to Bragg but what I am saying is 38 years ago she would not have been able to write that letter. And the reason she can write that letter now is because there were many days and seasons I couldn't stand her. So how does this breakdown in real life, two weeks in a row? I don't want to be around her, but I've made a commitment and a covenant to be married to her so I must see God even more. Do you have the right heart and attitude towards my wife, and to love her. Moments like those throughout our life together is what has created me to be more like Jesus as well as her.
The question when you get married isn't about whether or not you want to have hot steamy sex great friendship, lots of laughter go on trips and experiences together. The question should be do I really want to be more like Jesus? Because if you - than get married, and stay committed for life! The outcome is inevitable, you have to be more like Jesus or you will be miserable..

God is a god of fashion and design and details. All one needs to do is simply look at creation, and you are overwhelmed at how much detail he put into the gift of creation for us to enjoy.
Song of Solomon is a love letter from a man to a woman and a woman to a man. As you read that you will understand, they take great details to explain how much one another means to them, and even use pictures and stories and emotions vividly to do just that.
Can you imagine if most men today wrote SS? Yeah I like your boobs and you smell like my favorite type food out at the fair…. Ahhhh the romantic
Detail starts in listening to your wife and then later that week asking her about how she is feeling about said conversation.
Recall places, conversations, feelings etc…
The truth is it doesn't take much to make your wife happy or feel loved, but it does take time and it does take details. Everyone wishes they had all the money in the world to spoil their spouse but still a spouse - in time -is wise enough to know that you put no effort into it just your wallet.
Details in your card… maybe some poetry
Heart vase, filled with chocolates, with flowers in it, and a $100 bill in it, and a hand written note of 3 favorite memories o my wife. But it really only cost me 20 bucks max.

And - Note that this verse clearly ties the truth about submission to the instructions on being filled with the Spirit. Paul is teaching that if one is filled with the Spirit, he or she will willingly submit themselves to whatever authority God has placed over them. The corollary truth is that genuine submission from the heart is not possible apart from the Spirit’s empowering. Finally, in this verse it is clear that there is to be a mutual submission between believers apart from the line of authority.

The key to each relationship is submission, the kind of submission the Son yielded to the Father when He lived on earth as a man. That kind of submission, so often contrary to human nature, is an evidence of the filling of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit will drill us in submission by the pressure of human relationships. It may take time, but eventually we learn that the path of submission is best; we learn to fall in line with the will of the Holy Spirit.

No, you can’t just say I heard from God- now submit. You have to have a proven track record my friend. Early in our marriage my wife wouldn’t ask me to pray for anything. In fact, she would ask me to ask my father to pray for things regarding our family or needs or problems. But overtime as I would learn how to press more and more in to hearing God’s voice, and it was a proven track record of hearing God’s voice acting on it and seen the fruit of it that caused her to submit.
Now the first person my wife runs to to ask to pray about something and to hear God’s voice, and what to do is me.
Do you wanna know why I’m so sexy to my wife? It’s because she sees a man who reads and praise every day, here’s God‘s voice, acts on it, and because of that she and her children bear much fruit and blessing because of it. In her mind, she thinks, of course I want to spoil rotten the man who brings me all good things through his walk with God.
I have conversations with friends who lament about the lack of respect, love and sex they get from there wives… I always ask them, would you want to be married to you?
Seriously is your faith so amazing that your wife rests in that, has confidence in that, sees a track record of that?
I find great joy when I find out my wife brags on me in front of other women… many times as these women lament about their husbands. She doesn’t brag about my bench press my skill in martial arts, my multiple business projects, money, friends… she brags about the security and safety I have provided for her.

In Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus gives a profound warning about the deadly danger of self-deception:
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven… Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’”
This verse is a slap in the face wake up call. How does that kind of self-deception happen?
When you base your confidence of salvation on the wrong evidence. Example…many believe that if they affirm certain facts and make certain claims, use certain words, they can be sure they are Christians.
So how can someone who professes Christ tell if they are self-deceived and not a Christian at all?
First, merely referring or thanking Jesus as “Lord” because of a prior a profession of faith does not guarantee someone is a true believer. Matthew 7 says that at the judgment many will claim Jesus is their “Lord,” but have no real relationship with Him.
Second, merely believing the right doctrine does not make you a Christian. In the context of this passage, those who address Jesus as “Lord,” are referring to Him not only as Master but as God. They are acknowledging His deity. But you can acknowledge Jesus’ claims and the truth of the gospel and still not belong to Christ.
How many people on SM rave and promote bits and pieces of scripture regarding the worlds agenda. If only I had a dollar for every time I post truth from scripture and someone comments that is not very X like. Jesus is love, Jesus doesn’t judge….
Finally spiritual fervency doesn’t mean you are a Christian. In these verses, the repetition of “Lord, Lord” implies fervency both in life and at the judgment. These people are sincere! But an emotional response to Jesus Christ and His message is not a guarantee of genuine Christianity.
Warning…. They are sincere
So, if none of those things is solid proof of saving faith, what is?
Matt. 7:21 gives the answer: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.”
Jesus specifically identifies who will enter His kingdom: those who not only claim
Him as Lord, but also obey Him as Lord.
Obey GK - acting in such a way to cause Gods will to happen.
His will / word happens due to your actions.
He wants us virgins till marriage - how are your actions holding up
He wants purity, sacrifice, he wants us to share the gospel with people, actions??? Actions??? Actions???
Read his word, seek his voice and obey both.
