In Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus gives a profound warning about the deadly danger of self-deception:
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven… Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’”
This verse is a slap in the face wake up call. How does that kind of self-deception happen?
When you base your confidence of salvation on the wrong evidence. Example…many believe that if they affirm certain facts and make certain claims, use certain words, they can be sure they are Christians.
So how can someone who professes Christ tell if they are self-deceived and not a Christian at all?
First, merely referring or thanking Jesus as “Lord” because of a prior a profession of faith does not guarantee someone is a true believer. Matthew 7 says that at the judgment many will claim Jesus is their “Lord,” but have no real relationship with Him.
Second, merely believing the right doctrine does not make you a Christian. In the context of this passage, those who address Jesus as “Lord,” are referring to Him not only as Master but as God. They are acknowledging His deity. But you can acknowledge Jesus’ claims and the truth of the gospel and still not belong to Christ.
How many people on SM rave and promote bits and pieces of scripture regarding the worlds agenda. If only I had a dollar for every time I post truth from scripture and someone comments that is not very X like. Jesus is love, Jesus doesn’t judge….
Finally spiritual fervency doesn’t mean you are a Christian. In these verses, the repetition of “Lord, Lord” implies fervency both in life and at the judgment. These people are sincere! But an emotional response to Jesus Christ and His message is not a guarantee of genuine Christianity.
Warning…. They are sincere
So, if none of those things is solid proof of saving faith, what is?
Matt. 7:21 gives the answer: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.”
Jesus specifically identifies who will enter His kingdom: those who not only claim
Him as Lord, but also obey Him as Lord.
Obey GK - acting in such a way to cause Gods will to happen.
His will / word happens due to your actions.
He wants us virgins till marriage - how are your actions holding up
He wants purity, sacrifice, he wants us to share the gospel with people, actions??? Actions??? Actions???
Read his word, seek his voice and obey both.

What is keeping you from your goals

What is keeping your broke???
Its not a lack of know how, its not a lack of opportunities, its not a lack of spiritual blessing, it is not a lack of education…
Its only one thing. Procrastination.
How do we overcome procrastination…
Start with your basic habits… build in habits that take procrastination out of your ritual.
You can’t read and pray or go to the gym…
Put it in your schedule to drive to the gym after work, read your bible for 10 minutes then walk into the gym. Don’t make decisions make your decisions… build it into your daily routine, your system and the decision has already been made.
Understand you have the power… most of us have jobs. We may not like our jobs but we choose to do them. The things we choose to procrastinate are the same things that work is… but we still can choose to do them. You have the power to choose, the same way you don’t want to work, but still choose to do so.
Start… simply start. Do something each day regarding your desire.
You want to write a book. Then today go buy a new journal. The next day buy a new pen and pencil. The next day buy a good lamp to write by at night… at some point the motivation kicks in and you just do it.
I went to a motivational speaker event (I go to lots) and the speaker said that he has learned how to get over 75% of his audience to be successful in what he shares… where in most people who go to an event like his - well they listen, they get fired up and go home and do nothing. So what does this guy do different to get such great results? He takes 20 minutes out of his presentation and tells them to work on their goal right now. Call someone, watch a video on Youtube, Text a possible network connection to grow, or ask someone to teach you, Ask someone to keep you accountable, IT DOES NOT MATTER, what mattes is they started and gained some motivation during the session… now here is a secret… he than asks those in attendance to share what they did with others around them… and the energy and mind share and catalyst of momentum kicks in.
Environment matters. I am just about finished with my book. I do not write at night, I do not write at work and I do not write at home. I write only one day and in one place. It is my favorite coffee shop with free refills. I know no one there, I put on my headphones and just write… Wednesday mornings from 7am - 10am. I can crank out as many as 40 pages in that time slot of 3 hours. However if you gave me 15 hours at home or work I would barely get 5 pages done. It is the wrong environment.
This last one works really well for me. I have talked about this a few years back on the podcast and its just something that I made up but really works. Before I begin a project or a goal… lets say it is calling up that girl I want to ask out. I put a timeline together…
Ok, Its 2pm, if I call right now and she answers, I could in 20 minutes be laughing on the phone with her. In 30 minutes I could be setting up a date with her, and in 45. Minutes I could be texting her, can’t wait for Friday night, and in 24 hours I could be texting her… do you like sushi? And in 2 days I could be out shopping for a new shirt… and in 4 days I could be sitting at dinner with her… and in 4 days 3 hours I could be kissing her goodnight.
Then I just let me mind track the time… the more I put off starting the farther away that kiss is.
Another example… I want to clean the garage. I put a mental map together… If I start in 20 minutes, I would have the back wall cleared in 45 minutes, 30 minutes after that I could have the old motorcycle parts pulled out of the garage, in 2 hours I could have my car parked back in my garage. In 3 hours I could have the boxes thrown, the fridge dragged out to the curb and I could be picking out paint colors for the wall.
Then I just let my mind track the time… the longer it takes me to start, the farther away my goal is accomplished… and it stirs me to start.

Arguably the most recognizable Gladiator quote, this line delivered by Maximus goes to show the lack of empathy the crowd embodies. The mob wants nothing more than bloodshed and death, a show to distract them from the emptiness of reality.
We could easily cry this out in todays world forums and families.
As well as…
Are you not distracted?
Are you not deceived?
Are you not gullible?
Are you not in the dark?
Are you not in the fight?
Are you not the wicked Lazy servant who buried his talent in the ground?
We miss - I believe the most important line in the movie which follows this line. Gladiator yells to the crowd “are you not entertained, is this not why you are here?”
WHY ARE WE HERE?
Why are we here on this earth?
Entertainment… I doubt any of us would be so bold and so foolish to answer yes to this question… but yet we find ourselves at times in exactly that lifestyle and mindset.
If I strive to succeed at my business, is it not truly so that I have the resources to entertain myself and meet my desires?
You might be surprised at the number of times the Bible touches on the subject of entertainment. On the positive side, Jesus went to parties and made time to get away from the grind of ministry with His disciples. Paul said that God “richly provides us with everything to enjoy” (1 Timothy 6:17), and he obviously knew something about poetry (Acts 17:28), sports (1 Corinthians 9:24-26), and the theater (1 Corinthians 4:9). What’s more, the end of history is pictured as a banquet for God’s people in Revelation. Negatively, King Herod’s attempt to entertain his guests led to John the Baptist’s execution (Matthew 14:6-12), and the Persian King Ahasuerus’ wild party ended with what amounted to a divorce (Esther 1:1-22). How do we sort through these biblical references? Here are several principles to help you determine Scripture’s teaching on entertainment and amusement.
Entertainment is not for fleshly desires or feelings to be experienced. It is not an escape and it is not to be in the form of activities that are lewd, unholy, or selfish…
Entertainment a seen in scripture was for the purpose of enjoying Gods creation including his people. It gives you a respite for a fight that is coming again soon.
Interruptions don’t interrupt my mission, but rather serve as a break to focus on a particular aspect of God to feel invigorated and refreshed.

NY times says Vaping is out, mindless phone scrolling is out, But what is in? Earlier bed times, staying hydrated and Balletcore… it is hyper feminine fashion based on what ballet performers wear… I love when my wife goes ultra feminine and I am so happy she still have the body and the looks for it. Today is her B day and she turns 58 and still looks amazing!
Fatherhood is in - Being a great dad is going to be the big stand out among cultures and the media… not that the media will honor or promote it, but having a great Dad makes the medias job (which is manipulation) very hard.
Big families are in… the best way to change the culture is through prayer and more kids.

People are tired of choosing sides… they just want what is best for our country. More people are starting to see the ridiculousness of The elite and the powerful throwing out hot topics in order to bait us like fish and then gut us for their own good.
Global warming? - what about my taxes that keep skyrocketing and the national debt is out of control.
Whats in - knowing the people more than knowing the issues. Look I am a republican… but I am smart enough to study republicans and know who is right for our country…. If you can’t trust the people than it does not matter if you know the issues.
Book smart is in - knowing the facts. I love Layne Norton, PhD. On instagram follow him on Biolayne. He covers the fanatical and outrageous claims of influencers on nutrition and training. And John Dorsey Goob U2… calls out all the bs people who alter their photos and promote their work out programs…
Quit listening to the media and start listening to the facts. Turn off your phone and read a book.
Group living or compound living in - kids are moving in with their parents… YES and people are moving in with other families.
They are finding they can home school better, garden better, worship better, relationships among husbands and wives are better, kids are more well adjusted, finances are easier.

How to be a man on Tuesday nights 7pm HillSpring Church Meat with Meat. Burgers and Bible.
Picking up my lunch at the drive through… that’ll be 14.37. I looked at the kid handed him a $20 and said 5.63… a few seconds go by and the kid goes hey thats the exact change… wow pretty good. I smiled and said ‘yea I took a pretty advanced math class in college”. He nodded and said ‘yeah, you can tell”.
Your competition is not out there… your only competition is you.
This generation is so divided down the line… half hate America, life is unfair, lazy, want everything handed to them…
The other half is wanting to make a name for themselves, but might lack direction or have a plan.
Proverbs 14:23 : "All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty."
You will be a success simply by working hard in a world of co-horts who are too busy playing the blame game.
While everyone is taking about how hard it is, how others have a unfair advantage… look, I’m old and white so everyone thinks I have it easy… I have written 14 books… they all were hard work. I have started 89 different businesses… they all took sacrifice and were hard work.
John 15 - whoever abides in me… what is this saying to the young man who wants to succeed? Get rid of distractions. Focus on your job… but on how God wants to use you outside your job. What do I mean…. If you work hard 8 hours a day but kill 6 hours a day watching tv, video games, drinking, playing softball… etc… you are distracted from being all you can be. Cut out the distractions and if you are a welder, than work outside your job to be the smartest well rounded, biblically minded, fit welder there is.
Colossians 3:23-24 : "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.
What ever you do… Hey what job should I do? Anything you can. Get a job in the trades… chances are you will get trained on site, you will have no college debt, you will immediately have men who will mentor you and you will most likely make between 30-60 dollars… AND most trade jobs you can do side work. My son is a tile guy. He loves it. He works by himself, he puts on his iPod, he needs minimal tools and feels a sense of self fulfillment every day seeing most of his jobs finished within 8 -12 hours. He has already connected with a few other men to do side jobs. Whatever you do…. Make it your best and you will get noticed and move forward.
Matthew 24 The talents…
28 So take the talent from him and give it to him who has the ten talents. 29 For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.
If you work hard, and if you are someone who uses his job not just for money but to make God look good… you work to glorify him… you tithe, you share Christ at work, you give to those in need… God will take your talents and give you more.
Look this year I have been asked to fill 2 positions with other companies… one in firearms and protection and the other with a company that works hand in hand with fortune 500 companies…. How did I get these offers? Honestly, I served both of the CEO for years… I truly trained them in speaking, I coached them in life skills, and I was there to help make them better as men… I poured into them, solely for the reason to make them more like Jesus… and in turn they both offered me incredible positions for work on the side….
Finally… have more than two streams of income. Right now I have income coming in from 6 different books. I have incommode coming in from coaching people in life skills, I have income coming in for training people in my gym, I have income coming in from speaking around the country… and I have my Job…
Again how do I get so much done? I only do things I am gifted at and I don’t like to waste time and I built my schedule around systems. YOU CAN DO THE SAME!
