I have one of the nicest cameras in the world, I have traveled to some of the most beautiful places on earth and seen some of the most amazing things you could see… but if my camera is not in focus… it was all a waste of time taking pictures.
October 25th, 26th
We all need focus. And we have probably all heard about the power of a magnifying glass and its ability to focus the rays of the sun into literally a laser beam that can burn ants, burn up dried grass, burn your skin.
But focus doesn’t always have such immediate results-
Sometimes focus is like that simple little drip drip drip drip…
Just recently had a bathtub dripping, I wasn’t real worried to get it fixed… but after 1 1/2 days it filled the bathtub. That’s almost 40 gallons of water, that is 330 pounds.
But the point is - be it a magnifying glass and almost immediate results OR the drip of water and results that took a little longer…
THEY HAD RESULTS BECAUSE OF FOCUS!
No one would pay for a cruise and then once on the ship find out the captain will just let it float along and if we get there we get there…. But how many of us do that in life?
Proverbs 4:25 Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you.
Colossians 3:2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
Its not enough to say you are going to be a better man of God, focus on the specific details of how.
- Church attendance
FOCUS: every Sunday, pick out my clothes Saturday night, invite someone every week.
- Be a better Dad. HOW? Focus: every Tuesday take my kids on a date, or play with them an hour, Every night read to them before bed, pray with them.
- Finances, Tithe, invest, save - Focus: Tithe 10% every check, Invest 3% every check, Save 3% every check.
- Health - go home and throw out all junk food. Cook my meals, pack my lunches,
NOW here is the KEY: Match what you are focusing on with deep meaningful emotion. What EMOTION will compel you?
- Church attendance every Sunday, pick out my clothes Saturday night, invite someone every week.
COMPELLING: Over time see people I have invited to church now coming, knowing Christ, families change. Pastor knows he can call me to do anything - I am proven, Kids grow up becoming habitual church attenders and they raise my grandkids going to church!
- Finances
COMPELLING: Build a vision of what you will do when you retire. Mission trips, vacations, service opportunities, time with grandkids and great grandkids.
- Health:
COMPELLING: I want to take my shirt off and have my kids friends say “wow, your dad is Jacked”. I want my wife to say how much she appreciates me taking care of myself. I want to play basketball with my grandkids, and great grandkids. I want to have the energy to go on mission trips, to outwork the young guns!
Focus is always easier when combined with elimination.
Eliminate and concentrate for a GREAT STATE.
Test: People were given a huge bucket of coins. hundreds of pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters. They were split up in to 2 groups. One group had to count the change as they picked coins out randomly one by one from the bucket. The group could first separate the coins and them count them.
NOW YOU WOULD THINK THAT SEPARATING THEM WOULD SLOW YOU DOWN RIGHT?
Nope! Just the opposite. The team that took time to separate the coins and then count them finished more than 3 times faster.
Take time to focus and change your life!
Pick a priority, Focus, get detailed on how to do it, grab a compelling emotional state (a heavenly mindset) that will push you and then eliminate a few things that will allow you to do this ASAP.

No Fear here! FEAR SUCKS!
Self preservation
Doubt
Second guessing
Disobedience
skepticism
Uncertainty
Reluctance
THESE ALL ARE FACADS OF FEAR
where there is FEAR there can be no faith!
Its a simple substance: Your belief is a substance. Remember what Paul said? Faith is the substance of things hoped for
AND…
Fear is the substance of things disbelieved for.
Substance Gk = the foundation
Hoped for GK = Expectations
Where there is fear you go back to God and believe his word and not your feelings, expectations, your doubts or fears.
As men we struggle with earning our way. it was the curse in the garden, we will sweat over our life wanting more expecting it to fill the void.
But part of that mindset sneaks into our Christian walk. We struggle with doubt and fear because we see the deficiencies in our walk and life. So we think “there is no way God will work on my behalf…. I haven’t earned it. I haven’t been good enough (performed up to his requirements)
…. So doubt and fear creep in.
The real question is… do you think you can earn anything from God?
NO!
Paul says our good works are like filthy rags… that actually means dirty tampons. YEA AND THAT IS OUR GOOD WORKS!
Why can we expect God to work on our behalf… or why should we not allow fear to sneak in?
Because he loves us. He wants us to rest in his forgiveness and his grace. AND WE REALIZE IT’S NOT WHAT WE DO THAT GRANTS HIS FAVOR.
Now grace is not only the ability to cover our sin, but also the ability to live above sin.
So when you start to experience fear what should you do?
- Ask God to forgive you for doubting him.
- Read his word according to what you struggle with believing about his character.
- Realize you don’t need to know the outcome to eradicate fear… because you know Good and he knows the outcome.
(when you think you need to know the outcome you are saying you need to be like God in an arrogant way)
- Acting on Gods word melts fear
- Understand that most peoples motives for doing what they do is based on fear. Choose to do things according to Gods word and not your fears.
Think of all the blogs, advice columns, talk shows etc… that are trying to help answer peoples questions. almost every question is based on fear.
Do you realize that in the base of our being, in the deep center of who we are we just simply don’t want to be afraid.
Fear cripples us, sucks the joy out of life and wears us out!
Live today with the mantra “NO FEAR HERE - Gods word lives here”.

The draft… Did you team do good?
Phillip Lindsey
https://youtu.be/9pgxz5TSIoQ
Life is a series of dots. One dot connect to a line to another dot, to a line connected to another dot. The dots represent loss, failure, success, goals achieved, death of dreams, break ups, wins… etc… it’s mixture in anyones life. We tend to focus on the dots. Rather we should focus on the lines… the lines represent the journey… the journey is all about are we learning on the journey.
Look when you go on a real journeyer trip you look at scenery, you check out sites, you meet new people. You don’t just close your eyes and say “Tell me when I get to Niagara Falls”. What a stupid way to travel!
The same is true in our life journey. Open your eyes up and learn all along the way. Learn everything you can in the context of where you are at. Don’t just live married, learn while married. Don’t just work a craft or skill continue to learn that craft and skill. Don’t just work with people, learn how to better work with all people.
In every area of life you should be challenging yourself… “what am I learning”.
I can tell you a lot about life… and the best stuff I can tell you is not from my wins or losses, but from my learning.
- 1 Search me oh lord and know my ways.
What has kept you from learning? Ask God!
Psalm 139:23, 24
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24
Point out anything in me that offends you,
and lead me along the path of everlasting life.
- 2 Track your journey. Write down what you want to learn, and how you plan to learn it.
Keep track of what you are learning and what that means to you. How you are applying it.
Psalm 119: 15 I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.
- 3 Keep a diet of continual learning. Read a book at least 1 a month, listen to podcasts that teach you regarding the areas you want to learn. Watch youtube videos that teach. Become mentored by someone in areas you want to learn.
- 4 Don’t let success stop you from learning.
So you create a really good soup. Everyone loves it. You are a success… but another chef comes to you and says “hey if you added just a pinch of garlic, it would be even better, it would be fantastic”. But you think “people already love it, its a success, its a hit, I don’t have to listen to you”.
OK, BUT YOU JUST MISSED LEARNING BECAUSE OF YOUR SUCCESS.
We see this all through the OT with the nation of Israel. They have some success in life and they quit learning to rely on God… and wham they hit failure. It was’t the success that was the problem… it wasn’t even the failure… it was the failing to learn.
What are areas of your life where you have had success stop you from pushing in and learning more?
- 5 Check your continued failure. If you are continuing to fail in an area of your life- seek specific help to pinpoint why.
- 6 Learn to learn and not just to regurgitate. Ask yourself what is the reason to learn this? Pique your interest and learning becomes a great adventure.

TODAY: I AM SPEAKING TO YOUNG MEN (AGES 12-30) AND I WILL FOR A SECOND TALK TO WOMEN FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE DAUGHTERS.
What to teach your daughters and young ladies in your life.
Limo story:
What is most attractive to a man? innocence.
You have a higher rate of marital satisfaction according to your innocence level: how many men have you been physical with, slept with been emotionally tied to- how much porn have you been exposed to… etc…
*I am all for women pursuing careers, getting jobs, living out their dreams and of course having the same pay as men. But in the worlds attempt to teach women to go after everything they deserve and becoming a full fledged woman - they push them beyond independence into dependence on what being TODAYS WOMAN means.
HUH? Young women are so obsessed with “going for it” they buy into the whole worldly idea of being a sex object, being the boss of their bodies, doing whatever a man does (hey here is a clue you don’t want to do what most young men do)
The greatest asset a woman can have is understanding she is preparing herself to stand before God. If she has that mindset, then she will be prepared to be used by God in any area she pursues: be it marriage, job, church life, home life etc….
I believe in women rights… and one of those is be judged before God in right standing, and rightly dividing the word of truth, and do what’s right according to God’s word.
What does a woman want in a man? She wants a man who wants what the woman wants. Ok, beyond that she wants a
MAN!
A young man needs to be taught how to have a job at a young age. How to work, take criticism, listen and follow directions etc…
Adolescence lasts up to the age of 28 and more than 50% of the people stay adolescent the rest of their life.
Adolescence is the time the brain and body learn discipline, how to handle urges, wants and desires - it’s the maturity of postponing todays gratification for tomorrows success.
BUT YOU NEED PARENTS/ADULT TO GUIDE YOU,
YOU NEED DISCIPLINES IN YOUR LIFE
YOU NEED RESPONSIBILITIES IN YOUR LIFE
YOU NEED THE FREEDOM TO MAKE TOUGH DECISIONS AND PEOPLE TO TALK THROUGH THE CONSEQUENCES WITH.
YOU NEED TO VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME FOR FREE and serve others.

GREW:
to lengthen out by hammering (as a smith forges metals); metaphorically, to promote, forward, further; Herodotus, Euripides, Thucydides, Xenophon, others.
FAVOR: Grace and Kindness.
A great gut check as to whether or not you or your kids are maturing is ‘ARE THEY GROWING IN Grace and KINDNESS?”

What's your culture?

WHO DIED AND MADE YOU GOD…. EVER HEAR THAT? WELL TODAY I ANSWER THAT EXACT QUESTION.
Rate us… share us- help people find us!
George Dillman karate master 9th degree blackbelt. Taught Bruce Lee, Muhamid Ali and others. He had a technique where you could focus his chi and without using any hands or feet send a force to his opponent knocking him down.
He never allowed himself to be tested on film…
Master Yanagi Ryuken
However one of his students Master Yanagi Ryuken also practiced this and allowed him to be filmed. He would have his students come at him from all directions and without seemingly any effort knock them down.
Skeptical?
Kung fu Master Iwakura Goh
He was challenged by another Kung fu Master Iwakura Goh. A bet was placed for $5000 to the winner. And it was filmed.
Yanagi shot his best chi at Goh… and then Goh in less than a minute beat the living stuffing out of him.
How did the Chi guy do what he did if it was fake? He did not think it was fake, and he hung around students who did not think it was fake and they all started to believe it. They wanted to believe it so it worked on them.
Yanagi believed it.
The students wanted to believe it.
They created a culture that believed it…
AND IT’S NOT DELUSIONAL (well it is but) IT’S NOT BECAUSE YOU REALLY BELIEVE IT!
**The problem is not that you believe in Jesus and disbelieve satan, the problem is that you don’t believe in what believing in Jesus affords you AND THAT CREATES THE CULTURE IN WHICH YOU LIVE IN!
AND…. You hang with others who do not believe or live out what Jesus says.
So I just choose to believe (you say it’s not that easy - it is) belief is action.
WE HAVE CREATED A CULTURE OF CHRISTIANITY… that says only the super spiritual can heal,
deliver,
have intimacy with God,
work in the prophetic and supernatural…
Be free from temptation
be free from a life of sin
Hear God’s voice
Have a happy marriage without fighting
Raise of Jesus loving, God fearing kids
Have abundance in their life
NO THATS JUST THE CULTURE WE CREATED FOR OUR CHRISTIANITY.
WE SAY WE BELIEVE IT CAN HAPPEN… BUT WE HAVE CREATED A CULTURE THAT SAYS AND DOES AND EXPECTS JUST THE OPPOSITE.
Do you ever wonder why God had 12 disciples… why not just one? he would’ve changed the one much faster than the 12.
But he was teaching the disciples how one can change 12, and how 12 can change HUNDREDS OF thousands.
HE WAS TEACHING HOW WE CREATE THE CULTURE AROUND US.
Smith Wigglesworth - amazing man of God. Super natural miracles… Said….
“if God doesn’t move I will move him”
IN ANOTHER WAY TO PUT IT… I WILL CREATE THE CULTURE IN WHICH GOD WILL MOVE.
Jesus looked at the disciples in the boat and said ye of little faith, how long must I be with you…
WHAT’S HE SAYING?
When will you learn to create an environment where God moves…
He had just gotten done
Healing people,
Dealing with the demoniac
Now supernatural miracles with nature
PEOPLES SICKNESS, DEMONIC SPIRITS AND NATURE - HE CREATED A CULTURE WHERE NOTHING WAS OFF LIMITS TO GODS POWER!
PHYSICAL
SPIRITUAL
NATURAL - NATURE
Who died and made you God?
Jesus did!
Luke 10:19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
Todays challenge: How do you create culture, watch these three things in your life.
- The people you hang with/the voices you allow into your life
- The words you read and believe
- The expectations you put on your life (if they are not big enough, hang with people who have bigger expectations)

Muscle up and practice.
Wednesday Apr 24, 2019
Wednesday Apr 24, 2019
4-22-19 Monday
Practice practice practice… When was the last time you heard someone talk about how they were practicing their Christian gifts? Practicing their golf swing… maybe, but your Christian gifts?
Rate us… share us- help people find us!
Faith is a muscle. Some of us have bigger muscles then others, stronger muscles etc…
But it is only because we used them more, work them out and push them.
Our Christian walk is the same.
John G. Lake one of the greatest miracle workers in the last 100 years would train up prayer workers for his healing rooms by sending them out up to a 100 plus at a time to peoples houses that were sick. Each one had their own sick person to attend to. He would tell them do not come back until that person is healed. What happened? The workers came back days later, weeks later, months later… but they all learned how to pray for the sick by praying for the sick!
You have 3 things that you cannot shake. They are tried and true and 100% accurate in who you are.
- You have the nature and life of God.
You probably can tell in your family who you look like. Your mom or Dad or an uncle…
But even if you don’t, a blood test will settle that.
you have the nature of God, the life of God. And he spilled his blood to prove it.
2. You have the Holy Spirit in you. Oh wait a second what I meant to say is you have the most powerful, omnipotent, omniscient, life changing, Life force available in the universe in you!
3. you are son’s of God. He is your Daddy.
You don’t have to try for any of these. They are who you are. Now what that affords you is one who is powerful, effective, blessed, set apart.
So why don’t you see it?
You don’t practice it.
You don’t have to prove it, but you do have to practice it.
Typically very few of us will have have the opportunity to out wit someone, but we have many opportunities to outwork them!
What do I mean by that: Well very few of us pray and see immediate results. Very few of us witness and share Christ and see immediate results…
The problem is we then think - well it must not be my gift.
NOPE- you just must be willing to work at it!
I don’t want anyone to out pray me… Sound weird? Maybe, but I realize that intimacy is power, but intimacy takes time.
Are you willing to push in and practice your spiritual walk?

Sex Trafficking... You've been groomed.
Tuesday Apr 23, 2019
Tuesday Apr 23, 2019
4-22-19 Monday
You got kids? Then you are really going to want to listen to todays podcast. It’s a war out there!
Rate us… share us- help people find us!
Sex trafficking is huge.
- Human trafficking has surpassed the illegal sale of arms
- Trafficking will surpass the illegal sale of drugs in the next few years
- Drugs are used once and they are gone. Victims of child trafficking can be used and abused over and over
- A $32 billion-a-year industry, human trafficking is on the rise and is in all 50 states (U.S. Government)
- 4.5 Million of trafficked persons are sexually exploited
- Up to 300,000 Americans under 18 are lured into the commercial sex trade every year
Average life span once someone is caught up in trafficking? 7 years.
What is grooming?
Grooming is the precursor phase. Sexual grooming, or just “grooming”, is a preparatory process in which a predator gradually gains a person’s trust with the intent to exploit them. The victim is usually a child, teen, or vulnerable adult. The purpose of grooming is to manipulate the person into becoming a co-operating participant in their own abuse or exploitation, which reduces the likelihood of a disclosure and increases the likelihood that the victim will become attached and repeatedly return to the perpetrator.
Can grooming be stopped?
Yes, but it’s easier to catch it before it happens and trust is built with the predator. If you teach your kids ahead of time to watch for this it can save them tremendously.
My parents always told me “don’t ever be alone with a stranger EVER. Not at church, not at someones house, not in another room, not at the mall, not at the park NO WHERE.
And they told me real life stories about kids who were abused to help anchor the point.
6 Stages of Grooming
1. Targeting a victim
Traffickers target victims who have some noticeable vulnerability: emotional neediness, low self-esteem, or economic stress.
Social media and apps with private messaging features make it easier and faster for traffickers to identify their victims.
Emotional neediness: They failed a major test, their boyfriend broke up with them, they are bullied by others, They got cut from the team…
- Gaining trust and information
Gathering information about the victim is key. This can be done through casual conversations with the victim or with parents or friends. Many victims are first groomed and exploited by a family member. Traffickers skilled at grooming often mix well with other adults, gaining a trusted position as an honorary “family member” if they aren’t already a member of the victim’s family.
- Filling a need
The information gained allows the trafficker to fill a need in the victim’s life, making the victim dependant on them in some way: buying gifts, being a friend, beginning a love relationship, or buying soft drugs and alcohol. This is why many times a trafficker may look like a “boyfriend” to unsuspecting friends and family.
- Isolation
The trafficker creates times to be alone with the victim. The trafficker will also begin to have a major role in the victim’s life and attempt to distance the victim from friends and family. In isolation, the trafficker has more control over the messages the victim hears and is better able to manipulate them.
- Abuse begins
The trafficker begins claiming that a service must be repaid whether money spent on cigarettes or drugs, car rides or mobile phones. It may even begin with requests for illicit images (sexting) that are then used to threaten the victim. In most cases, the trafficker demands sex as payment for such services. - Maintain Control
In many cases, the trafficker maintains control of the victim through threats, violence, fear, or blackmail. Many victims show loyalty to their traffickers even after they’ve been recovered because of the insidious nature of the manipulation and the trauma bonds that are formed.
Why are teens targeted?
Grooming tactics work most successfully when the victim is between the ages of 11 and 16, when a normal human brain is still developing. According the the National Institutes of Health, a teen’s brain is highly sensitive to pleasure and reward as the nucleus accumbens is nearly fully developed. But, the prefrontal cortex – the part of the brain that helps us make major decisions and foresee consequences – is not fully developed in most humans until their mid-twenties.
All of this means that teens are more vulnerable to flattery, attention, affection, and gifts as means of coercion, especially if there is not a strong safe attachment at home. All human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion.
Luke 17:2 It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.

If he can’t get into your body he will get into your head!
Christ died and shed his blood on the cross for our reception of sins. That covers our Spirit.
He shed his blood when he took the stripes being whipped. That was for our physical body and healing.
- 3 BUT THERE IS ONE MORE PLACE CHRIST SHED HIS BLOOD!
Luke 22:44 And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.
Christ under pressure: Betrayed, Disciples would all run away, taking the death we deserved, taking on all the sins of the world, knowing the torture, whipping, mocking, embarrassment and death THEN SEPARATION FROM GOD THE FATHER…
Sin started in the garden, Adam and Eve had a mental break down,
the blood was first shed in the garden thru hematidrosis for the mental anguish we have over our sin.
Mental anguish blood -
for our emotional and mental state.
(doubt, fear, bitterness, unforgiveness, hate, sin consciousness, Low self esteem, arrogance, disbelief, hurt, loneliness etc…)

“Somebody told me that one in four Americans believe they don’t have friends,” said Cal Fussman. “And that they don’t belong to communities. You’d be surprised how more and more people are putting earbuds in their ears.”
4 ways to connect with others as seen by the disciple with Jesus:
- Ask questions
Break the ice. Be the first one to pursue new relationships.
How many times at the gym I see someone who you could second guess who they are. Stuck up, cocky, brash, egotistical, insecure etc…
and then you go up and talk to them and they break a smile, laugh and are not at all what people may have thought!
Everyone thought they knew who Zachaeus was, but they didn’t. Jesus calls on him, hey lets eat dinner at your house.
- Go to new places and meet new people
Routine kills connections- you need connections to meet new people.
Try a new bible study at a different church
Try a Saturday night service at another church
Get involved in a para church organization
- Serve others, even those you don’t know.
Find ways to serve in your community. People who are willing to give of themselves are more open to giving themselves to others.
Jesus constantly had the disciples in situations of serving. Feed the poor, cast out demons, heal the sick, pass out bread, go fishing for a coin, Go get a colt, go get a boat
- Check the ego and be a child (curios is charming and engaging and dismantling)
Don’t talk about yourself.
Talk about them, ask them questions.
Ask them why
Ask them how they feel or felt about that.
Jesus gets the disciples alone and asks them “who do the people say that I am?”
That could bring some hurtful and uncomfortable answers… but it was curiosity at its highest.
- Go beyond basic questions to build intimacy and trust.
Enough of the what’s your favorite color, food, music
What was your hardest day in your life?
Who was your biggest influence and why?
How do you think you are as a parent?
James and John ask Jesus a pretty intimate question: Can we sit at your right and left hand in heaven?
The disciples all asked Jesus at the last supper “is it I who will betray you”?

Obsessed

Thursday Apr 18, 2019
4-18-19 Thursday
What are we talking on today? Here is a clue…
obsessed, possessed, driven dominated, crazed, Raving, frenzied, consumed, all in, 100 percent, all out, brazened, Persistent, captivated, unconditional, absolute…
To the man who took a shirt at my table at the last mens conference and said he would pay me and has not… tsk tsk
You are not a giant slayer, you my friend are a giant player.
A poser!
Why do we not live all out for all that God has for us?
Too many of us are not living for God because we are living our fears.
Fears/Feelings
What is a key to overcoming fear?
Obsession!
Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Nothing! talent will not, nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent, genius will not, un-rewarded Genius is almost a proverb. Education will not, the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent the key to success has always been and will always be press on. Calvin Coolidge.
Call it persistence call it obsession… just understand you need it!
Philippians 3:13
Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
Taken hold of it: Hold of what? All that Jesus died and gave us access to. Healing, life, wisdom, mercy, kindness, miracles, prosperity, Obedience, signs and wonders, Hope
The one thing: The one thing I am all in on… no holds barred, 100% focused.
STRAINING FORWARD…
This is used only in Phil 3:13. It refers to the believer straining forward to reach "the full-impact resurrection" out from the realm of death given to them at Christ's return.
Runner's World (8/91) told the story of Beth Anne
DeCiantis's attempt to qualify for the 1992 Olympic Trials marathon. A female runner must complete the 26-mile, 385-yard race in less than two hours, forty-five minutes to compete at the Olympic Trials.
Beth started strong but began having trouble around mile 23. She reached the final straight away at 2:43, with just two minutes left to qualify.
Two hundred yards from the finish, she stumbled and fell. Dazed, she stayed down for twenty seconds. The crowd yelled, "Get up!" The clock
was ticking--2:44, less than a minute to go.
Beth Anne staggered to her feet and began walking. five yards short of the finish, with ten seconds to go, she fell again. She began to crawl, the crowd cheering her on, and crossed the finish line on her hands and knees. Her time? Two hours, 44 minutes, 57 seconds.
Hebrews 12:1 reminds us to run our race with perseverance and never give up
Paul is saying “I am obsessed with getting everything that Jesus and his word says are mine”!
“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world: the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.”
George Bernard Shaw
