anointing: (appointed by God) to serve as prophet, priest or king,
prophet - Bring Gods word
priest - The right to enter the Holy of Holies… sinless, righteous
king - Power and authority
In our gifting and talents and passions
We are called to serve in our anointing… nothing kills the anointing more then doing it for the wrong motive and for personal gain.

Anointing = setting something apart for the purpose of God

Gods anointing is not just so we can be more powerful, insightful creative etc but rather so that we can accomplish Gods will for each day

I got some exciting news… looks like we have just about nailed the location for our next TDA conference in March of 2020… I should know more in just a few days and i will keep you posted.
What if aliens came down and one of their special abilities was to choose to be happy all the time.
- They had an ability to choose a positive attitude… they would probably look at our world and see a lot of wasted resources.
Movies, music, drugs, material possessions… They wouldn’t need that to be happy.
*but if we explained to them that this makes us happy… “oh, so if a new car makes you happy, then you are happy… and you never have to worry about being unhappy again…right?”
- No not exactly…
So you need more stuff to be happy?
You need better relationships? more money? better health? Less problems?
Psalm 42:11 Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.
DAVID UNDERSTANDS IN THIS VERSE THAT WE GET TO CHOOSE OUR MINDSET!

A choice is who you become
Who you become is what you attract
What you attract determines your future role as a follower of Christ
You steal a pencil… that is the act BUT THE CHOICE IS you have chosen to become a thief.
You have sex with your girlfriend… you choose to be a fornicator, above God.
WHAT IF YOU HAD TO RELIVE ALL YOUR CHOICES DAY AFTER DAY UP TO THIS POINT?
WOULD IT BE HELL?
OR THE GREATEST NEWS YOU HAD EVER HEARD?
One of our greatest gifts this Christmas season is to see the power of a Godly choice and that we have the opportunity to make them.

No one has your problems… because thats your testimony and your story! It’s meant for you!
Everyone wants the testimony no one wants the test.
6 Pillars of self esteem.
The biggest one is teaching yourself to do hard things. Learning to overcome.
People don’t want you to learn how to do hard things… because then they have no excuse. You then become uncomfortable to be around.
Altschmerz: Weariness with the same old issues that you’ve always had , the same boring flaws and anxieties that you’ve been gnawing on for years.
You will be stuck there if you don’t learn to take on hard things and overcome them.
Do these 2 things: find someone who has overcome the issue you are working on.
DRILL THEM, MAKE THEM YOUR MENTOR, DO YOUR HOMEWORK OR THEY WILL DROP YOU.
If they can overcome it- so can you.
Take on hard things… wait what? Look life is hard enough why would I want to take on hard things…. exactly- life is hard. So if you constantly push yourself to do hard things, then life will seem easier.
Why do cold weather animals have bigger healthier babies. They had to survive the brutal cold and in turn they have a greater strength emotionally, mentally and physically.
“For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: ‘The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.’ We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies. Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the food they eat.” - 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 (NIV)

The New Year is coming…
3 things you must do to change.
I am the way… = a journey or path.
You must get new directions to change.
- Your belief system has to fundamentally change.
You can’t quit smoking
Start working out
Eating better
Get a better job
Treat your wife better
etc…
By just simply trying harder. You must change your belief system to incorporate and strengthen your choice.
Find your directions in scripture… what does the bible say about the change you are wanting to make.
- You must absolutely see and believe how it will change your future.
John 14:5“Lord,” said Thomas, “we do not know where You are going, so how can we know the way?” 6Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Truth - divine truth.
You must see your future as God sees it.
Finances - how does God see it?
Job?
Marriage?
Kids?
Health?
- Change your friends
The Apostle Paul before he became a follower of Jesus was a big deal. He had the ear of the powers that be, and he had a huge following, I am sure he had plenty in the Jewish circles who were and who wanted to be his friend… he was going places.
When He has his Damascus road transformation what did Jesus do? He got him away from everybody. He literally cloistered him away. He put him in a new environment, depending on new friends and on Gods voice.
You cannot change your behavior until you change your friends- period!
And in fact- its easy to change… but its not easy to change friends and that is why we don’t change. It’s not change itself it is the changing of the friends to make it stick that is so hard.
LIFE here implies that we not only change our friends but we change our friends who are living the life that Christ gives that will also help empower us to change

Sammy B, Thanks for the comments and yes we will be praying for Mary that she experiences the love of Jesus and comes to know him.
1 in four men do all their Christmas shopping in under 3 hours.
Most start shopping in early November, Most men start in early December… or at least thinking about it.
A survey of 2,000 British people conducted in 2013 found that men become bored after only 26 minutes of shopping, while it took women a full two hours. The survey found that 80 percent of men didn't like shopping with their partners and that 45 percent avoided doing so at all costs. Almost half of all spousal shopping trips ended in arguments, with men becoming frustrated because they bought what they needed straight away, while their partners were still looking and taking too long to make decisions.
A man sent on a shopping trip to Oxford Street in London' for a consumer research test soon had his blood pressure rising to "dangerous" levels. Dr David Lewis, a consumer psychologist, said: "He just wanted to get out of the situation as fast as possible and therefore grabbed the first thing that came to hand.”
Also women like to dress up for shopping because it is a social event for them and they understand it will take a while. Men are willing to wear any old thing, because they know it will only take as long as it does to walk in, pick it up and walk out.
Eph. 5:15-17 Look carefully then how you SHOP/walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
KNOW WHAT HIS WILL IS = “Thelayma” Literally means best offer.
Know what Gods best offer is.
Ever wait till the end and pay way to much for a gift?
Right now you can still find the “best offer” that God has for you.
It means thinking long term… Don’t be the guy who works for 45 years and then retires to only think “thats it? That’s what life is about?”.
You must be involved in Gods will so that you are investing in the eternal things… using your eternal gifts.

Luke 1:26-38
26 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”
34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. 36 Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. 37 For no word from God will ever fail.”
38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.
When was the last time you were so excited to give someone a gift you could barely contain it…
*Think of God- his love is so great… He couldn’t wait to send his son- his greatest gift.
Troubled: diatarassó - I want to except this but I just can’t.
*Maybe that is the biggest problem in followers of Christ today!
30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God.
- Fear is the opposite of Faith…
- Where there is fear, faith cannot operate.
Perfect love casts out all fear.
*WHICH IS WHY AFTER HE SAYS DO NOT FEAR HE SAYS YOU HAVE FOUND FAVOR - Grace!
FAVOR: Eph. 1:5-7
28 The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
Just a few verses before Gabriel meets up with Zacharia and tells him his wife is going to have a son. He tells him do not be afraid.
HE IS NOT. HE JUST SIMPLY CHOOSES NOT TO BELIVE.
SO HE IS STRUCK DUMB/MUTE.
FEAR AND UNBELIEF ARE THE BIGGEST THIEFS IN THE CHRISTIAN WALK!
V.31-33 encapsulate the same conundrum we face. There is a whole lot to believe if we choose to take on the son of God as our savior.
She is a virgin - it not only NOT in her, but she is not capable.
Christ in her will change the world.
His kingdom will reign forever- you will be a part of a kingdom that goes beyond earth, it goes to eternity.
She is 14, I am not capable…
She is in a podunk little town
She is a nobody
But what she had going for her:
She knew scripture
She was willing - God would not have come to her otherwise
She was obedient
She was open to the ridicule and the mockery
She knew God
V. 38 I accept your word unto me.
Nothing can be done until we accept the word.
Mary didn’t realize she was saying I accept your word… and the word was Jesus.
John 1 in the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was God!
Rhema - Gods spoken word.
B. This surrender to the will of God will be costly in terms of personal suffering.
1. First of all the man she is engaged to will not understand her pregnancy, and will doubt her story at the beginning.
2. There will be whispering among the people as to her sudden pregnancy.
a. When Jesus was speaking to the Pharisee's they accused Him of being born of fornication.
b. So all of her life a cloud of suspicion will hang over her.
3. When she came to the Temple to present her Son Jesus to the Lord, a devout Godly man named Simeon will prophesy to her that a sword would pierce through her own soul.
4. She was to watch this perfect child and man, whom she loved more than her own life, as He is mocked, despised, and rejected by the Jews, and then be hung upon the cross to die.
C. I believe that she somehow understood this as she said, "Be it unto me according to thy word.”
The passage tells us four things about Mary: The facts of Mary's life, the fear in Mary's heart, the wonder in Mary's mind, and the submission in Mary's spirit.
She said YES!

- 4 Abraham and Isaac - for a sacrifice
Genesis 22:
9 When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. 10 Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. 11 But the angel of the Lord called out to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!”
“Here I am,” he replied.
12 “Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.”
2 perspectives:
Abrahams… Called to tie up that which is most important to him and seemingly Gods future plans and give it all to God through sacrifice.
Issac: Trusting his father to climb up on the altar and be the sacrifice.
Sometimes binding something up is God calling you to give everything to him.
You give yourself to a business, to a relationship and nothing seems to click, you hit wall after wall after wall…
Everything seems tied up in the spiritual world.
God says give it all to me… give it away to me!
Creflo Dollar tells a story of them needing 7 million dollars to finish a project and they needed it NOW or the banks were going to come and snatch up their stuff.
They only had 700k, so Creflo prayed and God said said give the 700k away to another ministry in need…

- 3 Your chains might be the freedom others are searching for- Paul and Silas
Acts 16:22 The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten with rods. 23 After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully. 24 When he received these orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.
25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. 27 The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!”
Two men chained and innocent…
Most of the other men chained and guilty…
But the praise and faith of 2 men freed everybody!
I have always said this: The world may argue with us, they may malign us, they may hate us… but when they need a miracle- they will call on us- The sold out on fire God breathing Holy Spirit filled power infused life changing believer in Christ.
