In 2000 I was given the chance to candidate for my fathers position at the church he had grown from a handful of people into a mega church, with a daycare of 300 families, a school K-12 of 300 students, a missions and church planting church that was thriving! I immediately said NO Thank you… how did I know to say No so quickly? That is where we are going today.
Hey lets gear up for the election with some extra prayer, some extra conversations with people about getting out and voting in person this November.
My take is this… without getting into a debate…
I believe there is a demonic stronghold over America due to our prochoice/murder agenda in our country. I vote pro-life. Period!
Remember the "Maxwell Rule of Timing" --
"The wrong decision at the wrong time is a disaster. The wrong decision at the right time is a mistake. The right decision at the wrong time is unacceptable. The right decision at the right time leads... to success."
Quoted by Elmer Towns in Leaders on Leadership
I May not be in charge of my life, but I am in charge of my choices. Garth Heckman
How to make Godly choices
- Is this a decision that has to be made? (You are offered a new job, a business to buy, a stock to invest in, a conversation with your daughter, a surgery to have done…)
- Does the word of God give specific directions to this choice? Then follow it!
- Talk to other strong Christian men and woman who have been in this decision who have succeeded and failed.
- Whats the worst that could happen if you don’t make this decision?
- Whats the worst that could happen if you do make this decision and it goes terribly wrong?
- Whats the best that can happen?
- How long will this decision take to come to fruition? (Noah waited 120 years)
- Wether it goes good or goes bad, can you Glorify God in it?
Remember all a decision really is, comes down to creating your future. How does it create your future if it goes totally bad or totally good. Can you handle either… Don’t fool yourself, tremendous good can be just as hard to handle as bad.
