Temptation #1 turn the stone into bread

Physical needs being met.

Your need for food, water, shelter

OR… sex, physical intimacy, 

 

Temptation #2 Jump and the angels will catch you

Emotional needs being met.

Pride, arrogance, self esteem, security, 

 

Temptation #3 Bow down and worship me

Physiological needs being met.

Power, praise, money, fame, popularity

 

Christ overcame these with prayer, the word of God.

 

But don’t forget that Jesus was also taxed physically, emotionally and physiologically due to this extreme temptation.

He had to re-group!
