1. Would you want to be married to you?

Do you put as much energy into your marriage as you do every other area of your life. (I don’t mean time, or money) but energy. 

 

 

Would you be ok if your wife had the same thoughts and habits you had regarding your marriage?

If she lusted over men the way you lusted over women.

If she wondered what life would be like if she married someone else?

If she had on her phone what you have on your phone.

If she was as selfish as you are?

If she was as self absorbed as you are?

If she had as many excuses as you had?

If she listened only half hearted as you did?

If she talked to her friends about men the way you talk about women.

If she talked to her friends about your marriage the way you talk about your marriage?

 

We are called the David Alliance… but the one thing that David was not good at was marriage.

 

7 wives and he was not a good husband to any of them. 

 

Nabal refused supplies to the “would be” King David. Abigail saves her husband and his resources… she woo’s David and he ends up marrying her… he loved to rescue, he hated to pursue! 

 

He never learned how to put energy into his marriage. He never learned the art of pursuing. 

 

AGAIN… WOULD YOU WANT YOUR WIFE TO PURSUE YOU THE WAY YOU PURSUE HER? 

 

We can waste a lot of time blaming the other person for our problems, when we won’t even own ours!
