In Acts they share the gospel and move in power

Power for every occasion- miracles, healing, financial, wisdom, protection, relationships…

 

 

 

V. 17 Unto salvation - This word means complete deliverance from sin and death, and all the foes and dangers that beset man.

 

 

 

V. 17 RIGHTEOUSNESS

Right standing before God… your body is right, your mind is right, your finances are right, your emotions/temper, bitterness, pain is nor right.

FOR THIS TO HAPPEN THEIR MUST BE POWER… AND THIS POWER COMES FROM PROCLAIMING THE GOSPEL. 

 

For in it is the righteousness of God i.e. THIS IS GODS RIGHT WAY OF LIVING.

 

 

This righteousness demands perfect submission to Gods standard… i.e. what gets into heaven?

Does sickness? Disease? Demonic activity? Want? Need? Pain? Bitterness? 

 

But we are ashamed…

 

If you had the cure to cancer but you did not share it because you were afraid of what people would think… you would be a spineless, evil selfish person… PROVE ME WRONG! 

 

Is the Gospel not more valuable, more life changing, more eternally impacting than just a cure to cancer? 

 

NOTHING INTIMIDATED PAUL AND HIS SPREAD OF THE GOSPEL. NOT PAIN, NOT MEN, NOT RELIGIOUS LEADERS, NOT POVERTY, NOT DEATH… BECAUSE IN ALL THESE HE EXPERIENCED THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL. 

 

Paul is not ashamed of the gospel of Christ because it is good news.

He had been snuck over a wall in Damascus

Stoned and left for dead at Lystra

He was beaten, arrested and jailed in Philipi

 

He was chased out of Thessalonica

Laughed and scorned at Athens

Nearly torn to pieces in Jerusalem

All because he preached the gospel.. .and he writes I can’t wait to come back to Rome and do it again…. WHAT? 

HE WAS NOT INTIMIDATED

BY PHYSICAL INJURY

BY POVERTY OR FINANCIAL LACK

IMPENDING EXECUTION 

HE WAS NOT ASHAMED 

 

You get engaged to the young handsome Godly rich young man

Your cancer free

You win the lottery

You Father is awarded the presidential medal of Honor for bravery

  — and you don’t tell anyone?

Ridiculous… you tell everyone. ITs good news.

 

HOW TO OVERCOME SHAME AND INTIMIDATION

  -  1  How do you overcome shame and fear??? You simply realize where it comes from… satan!

 

  - 2 A simple prayer to motivate you to share the gospel: Lord restore unto me the joy of my salvation. JOY MAKES YOU BLABBER 😀

 

 

  - 3 V 17 THE POWER REVEALS WHO GOD IS THROUGH US… 

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
