Think of all the things in the world today that are built specifically on the basis of speed, pain free, easy… but what really means is we lack patience, peace and joy. 

 

 

John 14:27 “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. 28 Remember what I told you: I am going away, but I will come back to you again. If you really loved me, you would be happy that I am going to the Father, who is greater than I am. 29 I have told you these things before they happen so that when they do happen, you will believe.

30 “I don’t have much more time to talk to you, because the ruler of this world approaches. He has no power over me, 31 but I will do what the Father requires of me, so that the world will know that I love the Father. 

 

So don’t be troubled or afraid.

 

 

but I will come back to you again. - This is speaking of the Holy Spirit. Not just his few appearances after his resurrection. 

 

 

He has no power over me, - Jesus was God who laid down his humanity and lived life on the earth by the power of the Holy Spirit. Proving to us that we also may live without fear, through the power of his Holy Spirit and not worry about what or where the world is headed. 

 

When Christ is in us, satan has no power over us. Oh don’t get me wrong we live in a sinful world and there is sickness and disease and greed and pain and problems… but they have no power over us. What do I mean? They have no affect on my belief or walk in Christ. 

Oh I may have sickness… I have had 3 cancers a brain tumor, a broken neck, paralysis and more… but that has no power over my mindset, my spirit, my effectiveness in my walk with Christ, it has no affect on my faith and ability to live and walk in victory over those things.  My God does not lie… I may not see the break through I want to see, I may die of cancer or I may have pain or problems… but they have no power over me… when I die, I live forever. In my pain God carries me, in my sickeness God heals me, in my problems God never leaves me… They are powerless to affect my walk, my relationship with God. 

What does God say… they will not affect my peace!
