Parenting in the presence evil
Join us for a 3 week series on the perils of parenting in the new realm. The enemy is out to destroy your kids, your family and your future. What does Gods word say about victory in the middle of viciousness. How do you train your kids for battle in todays Spiritual War. The questions may be different, but the answer is always found in Gods word.

Here is a word for you and I . GOD awards us with attacks . Just like JOB. He told me to quit being concerned about being attacked (your demon in the first service for example). I’m building your faith and responsibility (my response to HIS ability). Garths thought on this: is the man who invested the talents got even more and we know that when you invest talents, there’s risk this hard work, but it’s a test.
Thick skin people get things done.
Paul said In
Galatians 1:10 For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Prov. 29:25 The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.
Jer. 17:5 Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord.
Matthew 10:32-33
So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.
Paul himself told stories of being whipped, stoned, beaten with rods, shipwrecked, robbed and numerous times. In fact in Galatians 6:17 He said I wear the scars of standing for Christ.
Just recently on social media I have been called a cult pastor of a gun church, I have been called someone who thinks they are chosen by God to speak for him… I kind of am… and so are you, I have been called a hypocrite a pedophile, a sicko,
In person I have been told to be quiet, to get out of my face, I have been told of F off…
I don’t find delight in it, I actually pray for the people because I truly want them to know Jesus.
Here are five ways to cultivate grit:
- Embrace Challenges: Seek out situations that push you outside of your comfort zone. Challenges help build resilience and determination.
- Cultivate a Growth Mindset: Believe that your abilities can be developed through hard work and dedication. This mindset fuels perseverance.
- Set Meaningful Goals: Having clear objectives gives you direction and motivation to overcome obstacles.
- Practice Deliberate Practice: Focus on specific areas for improvement and engage in consistent, focused practice.
- Learn from Failure: View setbacks as opportunities for growth and learning. Analyze what went wrong and adjust your approach.
Not that these are not good, and they apply to many things… however the best way to become thick skinned and take on a greater influence as a follower of Christ is simply - serve him publicly, speak of him publicly, be his example publicly, You will get thick skinned pretty fast when you pray for people in public, share Christ with people in your neighborhood or work place. You gotta step out to step up and you will step on a lot of rough patches… but it is worth it.
All five of these are all wrapped up in being a follower of Christ Daily.
